What to Expect at Your First Visit
A step-by-step guide to getting started at Rewind Anti-Aging of Miami. No surprises, no pressure — just a clear path to feeling like yourself again.
We Get It — The First Visit Can Feel Uncertain
If you have never been to an anti-aging or hormone optimization clinic before, you probably have questions. What will they test? Will I feel pressured into something? How much does it cost? Is this even legitimate medicine?
Those are all fair questions, and we hear them regularly. The truth is, most of our patients felt exactly the same way before their first visit. Many had spent months — sometimes years — dealing with symptoms like fatigue, weight gain, low libido, or brain fog before finally deciding to explore whether something deeper was going on.
At Rewind, your first visit is designed to be thorough, transparent, and pressure-free. We start with data, not assumptions. Nothing is prescribed without lab work backing it up, and nothing moves forward without your full understanding and consent.
Here is exactly what happens, step by step.
How to Prepare
What to Bring
- Valid photo ID
- List of current medications and supplements

- Complete any intake forms sent via email beforehand
What Happens at the Clinic
Every new patient follows the same evidence-based process. No shortcuts, no guesswork — just a methodical approach to understanding your body.
Initial Consultation
30–45 minMeet with your provider to discuss symptoms, health goals, medical history, and lifestyle. We listen first — no cookie-cutter protocols.
Body Composition Scan
5 minAn InBody scan measures your lean muscle mass, body fat percentage, visceral fat, and hydration — giving us a complete baseline beyond just weight.
Comprehensive Lab Work
10 minA simple blood draw right in our clinic. We test 40+ biomarkers including full hormone panels, metabolic markers, thyroid, vitamins, and inflammation indicators.
Your Personalized Plan
Follow-up visitOnce results are in (typically 5–7 business days), you return for a detailed review. Your provider walks you through every number and designs a treatment plan built around your biology.
Why Our Lab Work Goes Deeper
A standard annual physical tests maybe 10–15 markers. At Rewind, our executive lab panel tests 40+ biomarkers — including a full hormone panel (total and free testosterone, estradiol, DHEA-S, thyroid), metabolic markers (fasting insulin, HbA1c, lipid panel), inflammatory markers (CRP, homocysteine), and essential nutrients (vitamin D, B12, iron).
The difference between "normal" and "optimal" is where most clinics stop and we start. A testosterone level of 310 ng/dL is technically "normal" — but it is far from optimal, and most men at that level feel terrible. We optimize to the ranges where patients actually feel and perform their best.
All lab work is done in-house during your visit — a simple blood draw that takes about 10 minutes. Results typically come back within 5–7 business days, and your provider will walk you through every number during your follow-up consultation.

Your Personalized Treatment Plan
Once your labs come back, you will return for a follow-up consultation where your provider reviews every result in detail. This is not a five-minute summary — it is a comprehensive analysis of your hormonal, metabolic, and nutritional health.
Based on your lab data, symptoms, goals, and lifestyle, your provider designs a treatment protocol built specifically around your biology. This might include hormone optimization, peptide therapy, medical weight loss, or a combination — but nothing is recommended without data supporting it.
Most patients begin to notice improvements within the first two to four weeks. Energy and sleep quality tend to improve first, followed by mood, body composition, and cognitive clarity over the following two to three months. We schedule regular follow-up labs to track your progress and adjust your protocol as needed.
Every treatment at Rewind is medically supervised by Alexia Padron, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC. You can read more about our clinical team and credentials.

Common Questions About Your First Visit
How long is the first visit?
Plan for about 45 minutes to an hour. That includes your consultation, body composition scan, and blood draw. Some patients finish in 30 minutes; others have more questions and take a bit longer. We never rush.
Do I need a referral?
No. You do not need a referral from another physician to schedule an appointment at Rewind. We are a direct-access clinic — you can book your first visit anytime.
Is there a consultation fee?
Yes, there is a fee for the initial consultation that covers your provider visit, body composition analysis, and comprehensive lab work. We discuss all costs transparently before any treatment begins. There are never hidden fees.
Can I do a virtual visit first?
Yes. We offer telemedicine consultations for patients who want to discuss their goals before coming in, or for out-of-state patients. Lab work can be completed at a local facility and results reviewed during a follow-up video call.
How soon can I start treatment?
Most patients begin treatment within one to two weeks of their initial visit — the time it takes for comprehensive lab results to come back and for your provider to design a personalized protocol. Some treatments can begin the same day as your consultation.
What if I'm nervous or unsure?
That is completely normal, and you are not alone. Most of our patients felt the same way before their first visit. Our team is here to answer every question, explain every option, and make sure you feel confident before moving forward with anything.
